Just a quick question to the Marvel fandom:

Are the movies (like Iron Man, The Avengers and stuff) easy to understand without knowing the comics?

yes. speaking as someone who has never read the comics before — yes. much of what i’ve learned about the comics i’ve learned from the marvel fandom, but the movies themselves do a pretty decent job of breaking it down for you. there will, of course, be references that you might miss, but everything that is central to the plots are explained pretty well within the movies, in my opinion.

Are your eyes being racist? Or do these women actually look eerily similar? This surreal GIF compilation showing all of 20 contestants for this year’s Miss Korea beauty pageant has gone viral on Reddit, mostly for their remarkably similar facial features. Now, before you start blaming own your eyes for being racist, this perceived resemblance among the contestants were also echoed by several ex-pats and natives living in the country, leading to a lengthy debate over the ever-growing trend of cosmetic surgeries and the westernization of beauty as a concept in the region.

This looks more like all the girls had the same make-up artist to me.
